Foto: Bo Lundberg

Here Bishop Stefeno Reuben Moshi leads confirmation procession ceremony from a church in Mamba, close to Marangu. During his youth he received Bible teachings, from Filipo Njau, who also became his mentor. Later on he became the first presiding bishop of the Lutheran Church, bringing skills and vision not only in Tanzania, but in the All Africa Conference of Churches and the Lutheran Federation. Filipo Njau was always proud of him. Bishop Stefano Reauben Moshi lived from 1906-1976.When Filipo Njau died in 1976 he took part and lead his burial ceremony and praised Filipo Njau's achievements in Tanzania and that he was a visionary man who practced what he learned and preached. Pioneered and believed in the equality between the sexes something that was very foreign in the minds and souls of the people who lived around his time. Filipo Njau was in this case a contraversial personality and far sighted personality with great compassion for his fellow human beings. He also cared with the same kindness and generosity for all those who liked him or disliked him .Photo: Bo Lundberg
